Here at Tandrup, we remain open for business as usual in support of our NHS customers during this unprecedented and most difficult time. We currently supply Point of Use Filters to over 350 hospitals in the UK & Ireland, all of which rely upon T-Safe® to maintain safe water systems and protect patients from exposure to harmful waterborne pathogens. Therefore, we meet the Governments criteria as essential workers and remain in ‘normal’ business operational mode with some adjustments to our working arrangements.
As a responsible employer we are taking steps to ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of our staff and our obligation to wider society by adopting the self-isolation and social distancing containment measures advised by the Government.
To that end, most staff are now working from home but remain contactable and engaged in supporting our customers during normal business hours. We have suspended all site visits and have made provisions to effectively communicate with customers remotely via telephone, email and video conferencing.
Our offices remain open and manned with a skeleton of core staff between the hours of 8.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday. Strict social distancing arrangements and staggered working patterns are in force. We have also set up an out of hours facility for urgent enquiries outside of normal business hours.
Water Safety Criticality in the NHS
The importance of maintaining safe water systems within Healthcare environments is as critical now as ever before. Ensuring that immune compromised patients are protected from the risks of exposure to waterborne pathogens is essential in mitigating the risk of HAI’s that could otherwise compound the challenge the NHS currently faces over available bed space and resources.
Consequently, demand for the supply of filters has increased significantly with many hospitals putting Water Safety contingency plans in place. Therefore, the supply of T-Safe® filters to NHS customers will be prioritised over all other enquiries and orders until further notice.
We remain well placed to support our customers and the wider NHS with T-Safe® products as may be required. Our Business Continuity Plan was activated some weeks ago, meaning that we are currently holding large volumes of available stocks to ship directly to hospitals within the UK & Ireland.
Production at our HQ and manufacturing facility in Allerod, Denmark remains operational and our ability to supply goods to customers has remained largely unaffected due to the resilience within our courier partner network.
At present we have not experienced any change to or delays in our normal lead times. Goods are usually delivered within 4 days of order receipt, whilst we continue to provide an Emergency Next Day Delivery service for urgent orders where necessary.
