L.E.A.P 05 Event: Highlights

We were proud to sponsor the fifth Legionella Environmental Action Platform that took place on Thursday 19 September, London. The event brought together like minded individuals passionate about water quality and we have put together all the highlights from the day.

Importance of Building Design: George McCracken

The day started with a talk from George McCracken, Director of Estates, Risk and Environment, Belfast Health and Social Care Trust, Northern Ireland. George discussed the importance of building design and brought great insight on how building design can influence water safety and quality.

A GOSH Case Study: Mike Ralph

Mike Ralph, Principle Engineer & Senior Policy Strategy Lead, NHS Improvement, spoke about sustainable change. Following a sustainable design GOSH were able to achieve:

  • No legionella
  • Reduced Pseudomonas
  • No TMV’s
  • Cost savings

How Technology Can Help in The Wider Estate: Warren Bradshaw

Warren give an insightful talk on the challenges of manual water monitoring and how The Internet Of Things can improve water monitoring and processes.

ProEconomy: Bryon Bedford

ProEconomy, CEO Bryon Bedford introduced ProEconomy advanced water treatment and monitoring service using their Orca system and Tetras water management system.

Water Sampling With Software: Diego Jimenez

Diego Jimenez, Client Relations Manager/Water Quality Analyst at ProEconomy delivered a talk on sampling and the benefits of using software in getting results.

Round Table Discussions

To finish attendees got together in round table discussions. Industry professionals spoke about water treatment and legionella control. Sharing knowledge and best practice it was an insightful end to the day.
